for assessment>
The website I will introduce today is 'QuizN'.
Classes that only deliver one-sided messages end up boring students. In this case, it is good to use a 'Gamification education' that can arouse students' academic interest. Gamification refers to the process of solving problems and immersing users by using game thinking and game techniques that are not games. 'QuizN' is a game-based learning platform called 'Korean-style Kahoot,' which is based on the already well-known American Kahoot.
1. QuizN's Four Features
- It is a game-based quiz platform where anyone can easily create and conduct a quiz show.
- It will be operated as a game that can be enjoyed together in the same space and a mission-type quiz that can be challenged for a certain period of time based on the Internet.
- Participants can participate only by submitting PINs and nicknames without signing up for a separate membership or installing an app.
- All quiz shows that have been conducted can be checked by the result report, allowing participants to manage their history.
2. Key Functions and Application Purposes of 'QuizN'
'QuizN' can be used in four main ways.
- In-class utilization
- Collecting student opinions
- After-school assignments
- Provide Learning Statistics
3. How to use 'QuizN'
This is the first screen of the website. If you want to log in as a teacher, you need to sign up as a simple membership.
To create a quiz as a host, click 'Show만들기'. And if you look at the top right of the login screen, you can check your followers and followings.
When you press the 'Show만들기' button, a window opens to create a room for quizzes. First, you can freely select images and titles. You can also use tags to make your own quizzes available to others and set whether they are open or private.
After registering like this, a window pops up to create a quiz similar to PowerPoint. The quiz types are optional, True/False, short answer, sequence complete, initial quiz, and descriptive, with a total of six types.
You can add questions by pressing the bottom left '+page' button. It is also possible to add images and attach YouTube links to the questions. It is also possible to replicate questions that have been used before. Preview is also possible in the process of creating questions using the 'preview' button in the lower right corner.
This completes the quiz making process. In 'My show', you can check out the quiz you made.
Quiz can be offered to students in real-time or mission format. One of the biggest features of 'QuizN' is that it is also available in this mission format.

When solving quizzes, there is real-time field play and real-time remote play. Field play refers to a way in which quiz questions appear only on teachers' computers, and only choices appear on students' devices. On the other hand, remote play refers to a way in which both quiz questions and options appear on student devices.
And when you solve a quiz, you can turn off or turn on the following options:
1) Ranking screen non-exposure
2) Answer exposure
3) Shuffle answers
4) Using the submit button
5) Auto-move next screen
4. QuizN's Advantages and Disadvantages
Advantages:
- Users can use it right away without complicated and inconvenient membership, login, or installation of apps.
- All services are provided free of charge. For example, Kahoot has a fixed paid area, so all quiz types except for selective and ox types can be used for a fee. However, 'QuizN' offers all six types of quizzes for free.
- Users are free to access materials that others have publicly posted.
Disadvantages:
- The app has not been developed yet, so it can only be used on the website. Currently, it is only supported by the web version, so there is a limit that it cannot be used as a mobile version.
- If learners want to participate again after they finish participating in the quiz, they can't try again with the existing nickname. Therefore, the inability to update existing scores can make it difficult for learners to generate continuous interest.
5. Reflection
Through this assignment, I got to know a lot of new apps and websites for evaluation this time. I got to know Kahoot, answer garden, and socrative, and I was finally attracted to 'QuizN' among many evaluation programs. Come to think of the reason, most of them have used and introduced foreign-made apps and programs, but this time, I found and used websites made in Korea. Of course, there were still many shortcomings compared to programs made by the U.S. and other countries, but I was proud to see and feel a bit of the possibility of growth and direction of development in our country. In particular, 'QuizN' is a website that was created with some modifications for Korean students and teachers, and the biggest advantage is that it is easy for both learners and teachers to use because it is made in Korean, not in English. In the future, I hope that many other apps or excellent teaching methods will be developed for teachers considering the convenience of many Korean learners.
